Crookrise on Sunday 15th October

Postby Will Hunt » Fri Oct 13, 2017 9:31 am

I'm taking a friend out climbing for the first time on Sunday. Plan is to head up to Crookrise and potter about with him on stuff up to about severe.
If there's anybody in the club who wants to have a day out seconding this sort of thing or who is new to leading and wants to get some mileage in then we'd be happy to have you along.

Hi Will

I'm new to the club and to climbing outdoors i.e. I haven't done any, but can lead indoors, I have my own harness, shoes and belay device. Would you be happy to have me along to second? If you would prefer not have a novice along then I will not be offended!

cheers
Ed

No bother, Ed. That sounds good.
Haven't worked out the particulars yet but we'll probably meet in the parking (Embsay Reservoir saying club car park) at 10.
I live in Bingley and I'm collecting my mate from Idle beforehand so we could meet up somewhere sensible and all go together if that works for you?

Sounds good Paul. Post up if you fancy lift sharing from idle/Bingley or somewhere.

Great. I'm coming from north Leeds, through Oakley so it's probably easiest to just meet you there. 10 is fine for me. I'll DM you my number.

I'm in Oakwood so we could easily share a lift. I'm happy to drive as it's on my way.

A bit cold. A bit damp. But we did get some climbing done!
