Hi Everyone,

Glad to see there is some interest in this meet. The weather is looking favourable.

I am going to leave as early as possible on Friday, with the hope of being on the campsite before dark. Lets try and congregate together - we all know what each other look like so this should be possible.

I am going to bring a bucket barbecue for Saturday night, which anyone is welcome to cook their dinner on. I might bring some of those stubby bottles of French beer too, so we can pretend we are somewhere exotic. Anyone else got dinner plans for Saturday?

LIFTS - Is everyone sorted for transport? Paul Cookson needs a lift; does anyone travelling from/to Leeds have space in their car for Paul? If so post here or PM him.

Andy, good stuff, we'll try and get some climbing done.

Marq, thanks for picking up the meet book, I missed James' post, and the weather on Tuesday was such a downer that I didn't even make it to the wall, so would not have been able to pick it up.

I'm coming to this.

I'll take you up on your offer of BBQ space, Tom. Thanks!

IMPORTANT QUESTION: How far is the nearest pub? I ought to know as I have camped here before.

There is a choice of the Scafell in Rosthwaite or the pub in Stonethwaite - both approx 900 m from the campsite and both do good beer.

I should be arriving around 8.30 pm. Anyone else likely to have arrived by then so that I know which tents to look out for?

I guess we all aim for John's big blue tent then?

The parking is separate from the camping area, so we'll have to go by tents not cars.

I think Vicky should be there relatively early with our Vango green tunnel tent.

HI Everyone,

A few final details before the weekend.

To confirm, we are going to Chapel House Farm campsite in Borrowdale: https://www.chapelhousefarmcampsite.co.uk/

It costs £6 per person per night. The owner will come round on Saturday morning to collect the fees, so have them ready.

A few members are expecting to get there early(ish). John will have a big blue tent and Vicky with a green Vango tunnel tent. Keep an eye out for either of these, and we should be able to find each other.

I suggest we aim to go to the Langstrath Country Inn on Friday evening - the bar looks nice there. If you turn up at the campsite and can't find any LMC members try coming to the pub and hopefully we'll all be in there.

Has anyone linked up with Paul Cookson to give him a lift?

I shall be coming along to play and will bring along a small BBQ.
Some stubbies also sound good!
I'll be travelling with Luke and Andy and we should be there before 9.
Paul said he had a lift with John.

Thanks all for an excellent weekend 8)

Great campsite, beer, Wainwright bagging and climbing, as well as the usual good company.

Hope everyone had a good day out in the sunshine today.
