That time of year is nearly upon us, the sun is breaking through clouds and the birds are starting to sing. Meanwhile our thoughts can shift from freezing cold belays, bitterly cold winds and iced up eyelashes to balmy days, warm rock and sunglasses. Spring is here and for the first camping meet of the year we're off to some unpronounceable Welsh place "Cwmrhwyddfor" for the bank holiday weekend!
Situated below the magnificient Cadair Idris this is a superb location for brushing off the cobwebs and getting out again. There's walking of all difficulties as well as scrambling and rock climbing, all a stone's throw away on Southern Snowdonia's premier mountain range. The campsite itself has toilets, razor points, hot showers and wash basins with hot water supply, pets are allowed and they have space for vans/tourers with electricity hookups if you so wish. What more could you want? Oh yes, there's a pub 5 minutes walk away too.
