No problem Jodie, you can second my routes and/or might set up a top rope as well if you've not done much outdoor stuff.

John - looks like a top rope might be a good idea...

For those who haven't been before - park in the car park for the little cafe with the flags outside it, it's just down the hill from the Cow and Calf pub. Follow the path at the end of the carpark up the hill towards the rocks. You can't go wrong!

I'm planning to come along tomorrow, will probably be there around six I expect. I've only done sport leading and don't have much gear so would be up for a top rope if someone's able to set one up, or can second up easy routes! Are there many nice v diffs!? Will be bringing harness, shoes, belay and a half rope - but don't have a helmet at the moment. Is it alright to come along tomorrow without?
Really looking forward to it! :)

Also hoping to join the quarry meet tomorrow evening if anyone would be happy for me to second (up to VS) or pinch a top rope =) Just looking forward to climbing outdoors in any capacity! Wanting to start trad leading again but haven't done it in a long time. Will bring what gear I can find. Hayley 8)

The rise of Boppit!

Really random request to everyone coming tomorrow. Do you have an electric desk fan that I can borrow, please? I can give it back to you at the talk in Leeds on Wednesday or on the next Tuesday evening meet. If you do, please could you bring it along tomorrow?
Cheers

Before anyone asks, yes it is currently raining and no, I don't know if it'll clear by this evening, unfortunately (forecasts split on this point).

Afraid Holly and I can't make this. Ilkley's just too far from York for an evening to make it worthwhile. Hopefully see you at Almscliff in a couple of weeks (more reachable for us!). Have fun everyone.

You could use the free evening to measure the hole where your gate will go . . . .

James,

The forecast could go either way but I still think it's worth going. There's a good chance that any significant amounts of water will have dried off by this evening.
